Ghulam Hussain Mugloo, the uncle of The Kashmir Walla’s news editor, Saqib Mugloo, passed away on Thursday morning. Mr. Mugloo had tested positive for COVID-19 on 4 August and was admitted at Srinagar’s Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), where he breathed his last. He was 75.

A renowned businessman and owner of the famous handicrafts company, Mughal Textiles, and co-owner of Mughal Arts Emporium, Mr. Mugloo was a very noble and generous soul who was known for his good nature and affinity towards his homeland, Kashmir. Mr. Mugloo was deeply religious and an azadar of Imam Hussain.

Due to COVID-19 protocol, there will be no gatherings at the Rasm-e-Chahrum of the deceased.

The Kashmir Walla team stands with the bereaved family in this hour of grief.
