A gunfight broke out between militants and government forces in Nowgam area of Srinagar district on Wednesday evening, police said.
Kashmir zone police, as per a local news agency, Kashmir News Observer (KNO), informed that the gunfight started in the area on a specific information generated by police.
Police said that Police and Army’s 50 RR were on job and further details will be shared accordingly.
“On a specific input generated by Police, an #encounter has started in Nowgam area of #Srinagar District. Srinagar Police and 50RR are on the job. Further details shall follow,” police tweeted. (KNO)
