Srinagar: Slamming the government for conversion of agricultural kand for non-agricultural purposes, CPI(M) leader Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami on Friday said that the slogan of development in Jammu and Kashmir is misleading.
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Tarigami said that the slogan of development is a red herring.
He said that converting agricultural land for non-agricultural purposes is a plot to serve the interests of corporate and real estate.
Tarigami also said that it will adversely impact food security and be insidious the economy of Jammu and Kashmir. (KNS)
