A government employee sustained critical injuries after being attacked by a wild bear in the Qaziabad Langate area of north Kashmir’s Handwara town.

The incident occurred on Tuesday morning, official sources told a local news agency, Kashmir News Trust (KNT).

They said a government employee working in PHE Department had ventured out of his house and was attacked by a bear resulting in his injuries.

The victim identified as Khazar Muhammad of Darbal Qaziabad has been shifted to the hospital for treatment.

Pertinently, a middle aged-man was critically injured in a bear attack in Dard Wooder area of Kangan in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district yesterday late evening. (KNT)
