Srinagar: Senior pro-freedom leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani has resigned from Hurriyat Conference.

“Keeping in view the current condition of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, I am announcing to distance myself from the forum,” the ailing Hurriyat leader can be heard as saying in an audio message. “I have informed all the constituents of the Hurriyat about the decision.” Mr Geelani added.
