#NathuramGodseAmarRahe – Live Forever Nathuram Godse – trended as it generated thousands of tweets in India on Gandhi’s 73rd death anniversary, which is being observed today.

Gandhi was assassinated on 30 January, 1948, by Godse who disagreed with him over the partition of India.

On Twitter, however, Indian netizens hailed Godse and called him “a true nationalist”.

Some even went further and hailed Godse as “great freedom fighter.”

Other users called the killing of Gandhi by Godse a valor act.

Till this report was filed, thousands had tweeted about Nathuram Godse with most of Twitter users praising the act of killing Gandhi.

This, however, is not the first time that Godse is trending on Twitter. On Gandhi’s birth anniversary #नाथूराम_गोडसे_जिंदाबाद (Nathuram Godse Zindabad) was the top trend in India.
