Four persons rescued in Udhampur flash floods

At least four persons were rescued during flash floods in Updhampur district on Friday.

An official told a local news agency, Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that the information was received through locals at Police Post Roundomail about four persons stuck in flash floods.

The official identified the four persons as Sanjeev Kumar, son of Rattan Chand of Ser Manjla Dhandal, Udhampur, Mulkh Raj, son of Shanku Ram of Nagrota Panjgrain, Ajay Kumar, son of Bishan Das of Ser Manjla, Udhampur and Sushil Kumar, son of Parshotam Lal of Ser Manjla Udhampur.

These four persons were trapped in the flash floods in Barmeen Nallah at Dhandal, Roundomail Udhampur, the official said.

He added that soon after receiving this information, a team of Police Post Roundomail led by PSI Akhilesh Khajuria under the supervision of DySP HQ Udhampur Sahil Mahajan alongwith the team of SDRF reached the spot and launched a rescue operation and rescued all the four persons. (KNO)
