The Delhi Police detained four students from Kargil on Thursday in connection with the Israeli embassy blast that took place on 29 January this year, reported India Today.
Unnamed sources have confirmed to News18 that the four persons were being questioned in the Delhi Police Special Cell. “They are in (the) Delhi Police custody,” an official told News18.
A low-intensity explosion was reported near the Israel embassy in New Delhi on 29 January this year, but no injuries were reported. In March, India’s central agencies found that the Iranian Quds force was behind the blast.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) released CCTV footage of the incident last week wherein the two suspects had taken two rounds of the blast site that day. They also announced a cash reward of 10 lakh rupees for information about the two suspects that would lead to their identification and arrest.
The NIA is likely to seek the custody of the four arrested persons Unnamed officials said their exact role in the blast is yet to be ascertained, reports News18.
