A search operation was launched by combined forces in a Sopore village of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district after inputs about the presence of militants.
A local news gathering agency Kashmir News Trust quoting unnamed sources reported that Para-military troopers from 179 Battalion, and from 22 Rashtriya Rifles and special operation group personnel cordoned off Natipora village of Sopore.
Door-to-door searches were going on in the village.
The search operation was under way till the filing of this report. (KNT)
