Srinagar: A five-year-old boy died on Tuesday after he slipped and fell into a stream near his house while walking.
The tragedy occurred in the jurisdiction of police post Soibugh in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
Local sources told news agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that one minor boy identified as Shahid Farooq Malla son of Farooq Ahmad, a resident of Kamapora in Budgam fell in the stream near his house this morning.
A massive search was launched by the family and locals and the body was later recovered from the stream by the local residents, they said.
A police officer confirmed the incident and said the body of the minor boy was handed over to the family for his burial and police have taken the cognizance of the incident. (KDC)
