Pulwama: Five members of a family were detained today early morning in Pulwama district of south Kashmir. Three were released later.

The government forces released three among five family members, including a girl, who had been detained during a cordon and search operation in Wahibugh area of Pulwama.

Quoting sources, news agency Kashmir News Trust, said that on the morning of Eid-ul-Fitr, the joint forces of army, police and paramilitary launched a search operation in Bonmohalla Wahibugh area of Pulwama.

The forces detained five members of a family from the area but released three of them later. Two of them – father-son duo, remain in custody.

As per the police sources, the agency reported that after questioning the trio was released while the father and son are still being questioned.

A source said that these arrests were made in connection with a case related to militancy. (KNT)
