Srinagar: The family and relatives of the youth, who went missing from the trek near Gangbal lake on the intervening night of 14 and 15 June, on Wednesday staged a protest. The family demanded authorities to help them in tracing their son.

Several family members and relatives of Hilal Ahmad Dar, son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Dar of Bemina Srinagar, assembled at Srinagar’s press enclave.

The family told a local news agency, Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said Mr. Dar went missing from the trek where he went with his five friends. “All his five friends have returned while our beloved has not returned yet,” the family members said.

They said they have filed a missing complaint at Police Station on 15 June. They appealed the Lieutenant Governor Girish Chandra Murmu and Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary to personally intervene into the matter. (KNO)
