Three youths and a “guide” from Baramulla district were detained by police and army in the Uri area of the north Kashmir district, officials said on Friday.
They said that based on a specific input that a group of youth was on their way to exfiltrate the Line of Control (LoC) via the upper reaches of Uri, police and army apprehended all of them.
A police officer confirming it told a local news agency, Global News Service (GNS) that the two youths were from Sheeri Baramulla and one from Sopore while the “guide was from Uri.
“They were on way to Pakistan (administered) Kashmir for arms training,” the officer said, adding, “Incriminating material, torches and knives have been recovered”. (GNS)
