Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Friday announced that eight hospitals in the union territory will exclusively used for COVID-19 treatment.

The same was announced by government spokesman Rohit Kansal through a tweet. “8 hospitals in Kashmir and 3 in Jammu to be exclusive COVID hospitals. 2400 treatment beds too earmarked.1000 additional quarantine beds also. Adequate capacity to handle any possible rush. CS chairs meeting to finalise arrangements.” Kansal wrote.

He further said that additional funds would be released, “Municipal bodies to accelerate sanitation and cleanliness drives. Additional funds to be released.”
