A 65-year-old man was mauled to death by a bear in Fattan Ahalan forest area of Kokarnag in south Kashmir’s Anantnag on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday, officials said.
An official told a local news agency, Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that that a man identified as Mohammad Akbar Chohan (65) son of Mohammad Hussain Chohan of Ahalan Gadool was coming home during the night of 26-27 June, when he was attacked by a bear.
He said that the man died on the post and his body was brought back today morning. (KNO)
