A strong tremor shook Kashmir valley on Friday forcing panicked residents to run out of their houses. An earthquake of magnitude 6.1 on the Richter scale hit Amritsar on Friday night, according to National Center for Seismology.
The earthquake was felt at close to 10:30 pm. Tremors were felt in various parts of India as well as Pakistan.
Tremors of earthquake felt on Friday night around Delhi and neighboring areas. Earthquake tremors were also felt in parts of Uttarakhand, news agency ANI reported. There was no immediate report of any damage to life of property.
