Bandipora police, continuing its drive against drug peddling, today arrested a drug peddler at Papachan and recovered 550 tablets of contraband drug Spasmo Proxyvon Plus from his possession.
In a statement, issued to a local news agency, Kashmir News Service (KNS), acting on specific information, the police party of PS Bandipora led SHO Ashiq Hussain and PSI Rakesh Kumar under the supervision of DYSP HQRS Bandipora Shafat Mohammad laid a surprise Naka at Papachan.
The statement reads that during checking, the movement of one person was found suspicious and on his personal search 550 Tablets of Sposmo Proxyvon Plus were recovered.
“The arrested person has been identified as Latief Ahmad Rather S/o Mohmad Munawar Rather R/o Gamroo. In this regard, Case FIR No. 134/2022 under relevant sections of law stands registered at PS Bandipora and further investigation has been taken up.”
It reads that the general public is requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighborhood.
“Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt with strictly as per law.” (KNS)
