Peoples Conference President Sajad Lone on Tuesday said that ‘we deserve a transparent description of what happened by a neutral institution’ in Hyderpora gunfight.
His comments come amid conflicting reports on the gunfight that lead to killing of four people including two militants.
Among those killed was the building owner identified as Altaf Ahmad who the police claim died in cross-fire. However, the family of the deceased said that the slain was used as human-shield.
Police termed another person killed who was identified as Mudasir Gul and a doctor by profession as an overground worker of the militants, a claim vehemently denied by the family.
Reacting to these reports, Lone while taking to his Twitter handle said, “In the midst of conflicting claims in the Hyderpora encounter the least we deserve is a transparent description of what happened by a neutral institution. This is neither the first time nor the last time. Manoj Sinha- you have the opportunity to assert that human lives matter” – PC President Sajad Lone on Hyderpora encounter,”
