Police on Wednesday detained Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chief, Mehbooba Mufti along with workers of the party at New Delhi’s Vijay Chowk.

As per the reports, Mufti held a protest in Delhi against the anti-encroachment drive launched by Jammu and Kashmir’s administration. There is “gunda raj” in J-K, Mehbooba said, adding that “Kashmir is being destroyed like Afghanistan”.

The party’s spokesperson confirms the detention of Mufti along with PDP workers.

“Mehbooba and the workers were detained by the Delhi police,” he told The Kashmir Walla.

Mufti and the party workers were seen holding placards reading ‘STOP BULLYING. STOP BULLDOZING‘ and were heard raising slogans like: “Jis Kashmir ko khoon se seencha, woh Kashmir humara hai; hooliganism will not work; stop vandalising…!”
