Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Police said that its Cyber Police Station has reliably learnt that a facebook user has uploaded videos wherein the subject is seen addressing general public by using language invoking disaffection against nation.

In a statement, the police further said that “videos have been uploaded to bring hatred and contempt against the goverment established by law and intended to outrage feelings of law abiding citizens and promoting enmity between different groups.”

The activity of the subject, the statement added, is prejudicial to maintain of peace and harmony, and intends to outrage religious feelings of different classes.

Accordingly, FIR No. 07/2020 under relevent sections of law was registered and investigating was set into motion.

Police also warned civilians of indulging in such activities and said that it will be dealt strictly under law. (GNS)
