The Sheikh family has gone into quarantine after Farooq Abdullah tested positive for covid-19, Omar Abdullah said on Tuesday.
Taking to his Twitter handle, the former chief minister said, “My father has tested positive for COVID-19 & is showing some symptoms. I will be self-isolating along with other family members until we get ourselves tested. I request anyone who has come in to contact with us over the last few days to take all the mandated precautions.”
Responding to his tweet, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished speedy recovery and good health to National Conference President, Farooq Abdullah, “Praying for the good health and speedy recovery of Dr. Farooq Abdullah Ji. Also praying for your and the entire family’s good health @OmarAbdullah,” PM Modi wrote.
Later, Omar thanked the PM for wishing good health to his father. This was the first time since abrogation of article-370 that PM Modi had publicly interacted with the NC leader.
