Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir recorded 1047 cases on Friday, pushing its COVID-19 tally to over 40990.

With 74 travelers among them, 493 cases were reported from Jammu Division and 554 from Kashmir valley, reports said.

This is for the second consecutive day that J-K reported over a 1000 infections as 1097 cases were reported on Thursday which was the biggest spike recorded in a single day so far.

Giving district-wise, they said, Srinagar reported 175 cases, Baramulla 61, Pulwama 34, Budgam 78, Anantnag 48, Bandipora 34, Kupwara 69, Kulgam 21, Shopian 4, Ganderbal 30, Jammu 322, Rajouri 18, Kathua 40, Udhampur 44, Samba 13, Ramban 6, Doda 7, Poonch 11, Reasi 4 and Kishtwar 28.

Meanhile, they said, 676 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals, 131 from Jammu Division and 545 from Kashmir Valley. (GNS)
