The authorities in Jammu province have deferred all surgeries in all government as well as private hospitals across Jammu division amid a surge in Covid-19 cases.

The order, a copy of which lies with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), was issued by the Divisional Commissioner Jammu.

The order states that coronavirus cases are on rise and to keep this in mind, all elective and routine surgeries are deferred across Jammu division.

Divisional Commissioner has also asked the district magistrates and chief medical officers to keep track of the implementation of this order in all districts of Jammu. (KNO)
