Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir on Monday witnessed third death due to covid-19 in the past 24 hours as a 65-year-old woman from Souch area of Kulgam died at CD Hospital, health officials said.

Nodal officer for covid-19 at GMC Srinagar Dr Salim Khan told  that a 65-year-old female from Kulgam who was tested positive for covid-19 on Monday morning died due to cardiac arrest at CD Hospital.

He said that the patient was admitted in Surgical ICU in SMHS Hospital as a case of Sub dural haemorrhage (SDH)  and was shifted to CD Hospital after her reports came positive today.

With the fresh death, the deaths due to Covid infection have reached to 15 in J&K of which 13 are from Kashmir and two from Jammu region. Earlier in the day, a-75-year covid-19 positive patient from Hillar Kokernag area of Anantnag expired at CD Hospital Srinagar.

Yesterday, a young woman from Habba Kadal area of Srinagar had also died at CD hospital after testing positive for the virus—(KNO)
