Kargil: A woman from Kargil who is under quarantine gave birth to a baby at district hospital Kargil.

According to a report, she is a resident of Sankoo area of the district.
The family of the woman is also under quarantine due to the COVID-19 cases in the Union Territory.

The mother and her family were put under quarantine after two people from Sankoo tested positive for COVID-19. Though Aisha has tested negative, she was put under quarantine as a precautionary measure.

Another young woman from Pashkum village of the district voluntarily helped her and the baby for the last five days.

Dedicated hospitals to treat coronavirus patients in Leh and Kargil have been made functional from yesterday.
