Just 556 vaccinations were administered in the Kashmir valley on Wednesday even as the government claimed that it would carry out inoculation drive at war footing.
On the contrary, 7611 doses of vaccine were administered in the Jammu division laying bare the sharp contrast in the process in two divisions of the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir.
According to the media bulletin issued by the Department of Information and Public relations (DIPR), 252 people got vaccinated in Srinagar, followed by Anantnag where 110 people were given the anti-covid dose.
In south Kashmir, zero vaccines were given in Kulgam, Pulwama. A similar trend was observed in Kupwara, Bandipora and Budgam districts of the Kashmir division.
