Srinagar: In a significant development, the Jammu and Kashmir government on Friday said that in view of the outbreak of coronavirus, government employees in the Union Territory (UT) will attend their offices on alternate weeks barring those associated with the coronavirus control efforts and essential services.

An order issued by the Additional Secretary  to the Government Rohit Sharma, the employees are directed to attend their offices on alternate weeks except those who are associated with the coronavirus control efforts and essential services.

“The concerned heads of the offices shall draft a weekly roaster  of duty for all employees who shall attend the offices on alternative weeks till further others,” reads the order.

Official sources said that the step has been taken in view of the prevailing situation in the wake of coronavirus in J-K. (KNO)
