Srinagar: One more person has tested positive for the novel coronavirus in Kashmir. The patient is a resident of Soibug, Budgam, and had a travel history of Odisha. He had also taken part in a religious gathering at Bemina.

Dr. G H Yatoo, Nodal officer at SKIMS, Soura, confirmed the report. CMO Budgam, Dr. Nazir Ahmed Bhat, said, “The patient is 30-year-old and has a travel history of Odisha.”

This case had taken the tally in Jammu and Kashmir to forty-six; two among them have died.. Earlier in the day, eight more cases had tested positive — four form Jammu division and four from Kashmir.

In India, the positive cases have surpassed the 1,000 mark while at least twenty-five have died.
