COVID-19: 80-year-old woman recovers, 12 discharged from Srinagar hospital

Srinagar: A woman, in her 80s, from COVID-19 hit Gund Jahangir village of Baramulla, north Kashmir, was discharged from the hospital after recovering from the coronavirus.

Principal JVC SKIMS, Bemina, Dr. Reyaz Untoo told that today 12 people including an elderly woman, who were hospitalized, after testing positive for COVID-19 last month, were discharged from different hospitals, after repeatedly testing negative for the infection, they had contracted.

He said that 12 COVID-19 patients were discharged after successful treatment in the hospital. He added that three patients among these twelve are non-locals. “Out of these 12 patients, two each are from Srinagar, Bandipora, and Delhi, and five are from Baramulla, and one from Kerala,” Untoo said.

Princiapl JVC SKIMS added that the elderly woman from Gund Jahangir, Bandipora, recovered fully from COVID-19 infection. “This woman was admitted in the hospital in a serious condition. She was suffering from pneumonia and acute respiratory disorder.”

89 patients have been discharged from SKIMS Bemia so for, the highest recovery rate as compared to other hospitals in Kashmir Valley. (KNT)
