Srinagar: Eighteen people tested positive for COVID-19 in Jammu and Kashmir, as the tally in the Union Territory rose to 879. Among the fresh cases, twelve are from Kashmir while six are from Jammu division.

The bulletin issued by the Department of Information and Public Relations stated that eleven fresh cases were reported from Kulgam while one from Baramulla. And three each from Jammu and Kathua.

In the last twenty-four hours, forty-four more people recovered from the virus, including thirty-two from Bandipora. Earlier in the day, an elderly man, father of a dead COVID-19 patient, also died of the virus.

Currently, Anantnag has the most number of active positive cases — 110. It is followed by sixty-one in Baramulla and fifty-six in Srinagar.
