A special court here on Thursday denied PDP leader Waheed Parra’s bail request for the second time in five months, and decided to hear arguments on the chargesheet submitted against him on Friday, quoting the unnamed officials Press Trust of India (PTI) reported.
As per the report, the in-camera hearings had been hearing the arguments from both the defense and the prosecution on the case’s maintainability. Parra had been detained by the NIA in a different case involving terror funding.
Officials told PTI that the full decision on the bail application’s denial will be released on Friday.
In a similar development, the court also said that arguments on the accusations brought against Parra will begin from Friday, as per the report.
This is the second time in the last five months that the court has rejected Parra’s bail application.
