Srinagar: Crime Branch of India (CBI) on Wednesday carried out raids at two locations in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
A team of officials from CBI this afternoon raided two locations including a residence in Haihama and a Bank in Khumriyal.
Sources further informed that residence of Manager of Grameen Bank from Haihama posted at Khumriyal Branch, Shariq Ahmad Khan, who is allegedly involved in embezzlement case of over one Crore rupees was raided. They said that a CBI team later appeared in Khumriyal Bank Branch to conduct raids there as well.
However, it was not known whether any recovery was made during the raids. A top police official in the district also confirmed the raids at two locations in Kupwara. (KNO)
