Srinagar: Seventeen travelers were among 256 new COVID-19 positive cases reported in the last twenty-four hours in Jammu and Kashmir, officials said on Friday. Also, one more person succumbed to the virus during the time, and the victim belonged to Jammu.

Among the fresh cases, they said, 106 were reported from Jammu Division and 150 from Kashmir Valley, taking the overall tally to 121227.

Giving district-wise details, Srinagar reported sixty-one cases, Baramulla (10), Budgam (14), Kupwara (6), Pulwama (26), Anantnag (6), Bandipora (5), Ganderbal (11), Kulgam (2), Shopian (9), Jammu (72), Udhampur (7), Rajouri (2), Doda (2), Kathua (3), Kishtwar (1), Samba (14), Poonch (1), Ramban (0) and Reasi (4).

Moreover, they said, 248 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals — 116 from Jammu Division and 132 from Kashmir Valley. (GNS)
