Budgam Police recovered two untraceable sisters from Jammu and handed them over to the parents.

A police official said that on 26 September, Police Post Humhama received a written complaint from one Shameema resident of Handwara presently residing at a rented house in Humhama stating therein that her two minor daughters aged 15 and 16 years have gone missing.

Police after receiving the complaint registered an FIR number 337/2022 under relevant Sections of Law at Police Station Budgam and an investigation was set into motion.

A special Police team was constituted, under the supervision of Chowki Officer Humhama and Inspector Imtayaz Ahmad, to trace out the two minor girls.

The police team, acting swiftly raided various locations.

After strenuous efforts and working on various leads, the Police team traced out both the missing minor girls from the bus stand in Jammu yesterday evening and were brought safely to Budgam by women police and family members.

After fulfilling all legal formalities, the minor girls were handed over to their parents.

Further investigation into the case is going on. (KNT)
