Srinagar: A Sub Inspector of Border Security Force (BSF) was killed while two others sustained injuries during cross-border shelling along the Line of Control (LoC) in Hajiper sector in Uri area.

A local news gathering agency Kashmir News Observer (KNO) quoting unnamed officials reported that Pakistani rangers resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation along LoC in Uri.

They said a BSF Sub Inspector identified as Rakesh Doval received head injury and later succumbed to his injuries while two others have received injuries during the cross-border firing—(KNO)
