Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday recovered the body of a 33-year-old non-local laborer from a village in Mir Bazar area of Qazigund, Kulgam, south Kashmir.

Officials said that locals spotted a body lying in a rented room in Gassipora village on Tuesday and informed the concerned police station.

A police officer said that soon after receiving the information, a police team reached the spot and recovered the body.

The deceased has been identified as Lalwa Sadhu, son of Krishan Lal Sadhu, a resident of Nepal. The official said that Sadhu was working as a labourer and had died due to cardiac arrest.

Station House Officer (SHO) Mir Bazar, Mohammad Hussain, told that inquest proceedings under 174 CrPC have been initiated. (KNO)
