Panic gripped Ganapora, Kralgund area of Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Sunday evening after a ‘blast like sound’ was heard in the locality.
Officials said that forces in large numbers reached the spot immediately after the ‘blast like sound’ was heard.
A senior police officer said that a “blast like sound” has been heard from Ganapora, Kralgund area of Handwara, while they are ascertaining the facts.
Meanwhile, the area has been cordoned off by the joint forces and the further details will be shared accordingly, he said. (KNO)
