A 50-year-old man was injured after being attacked by a black bear in Khurhama Lolab in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

As per the reports, Mohammad Yousaf Mir was attacked by a female bear, roaming around the area in Shranth Khurhama.

The injured man was taken to a nearby health facility for immediate medical attention.

Meanwhile, the Wildlife Department has launched an operation to tranquilize the roaming bear at an earliest to avoid any untoward incident in the area. (GNS)
