Jammu and Kashmir police have arrested a suspect from Bihar in connection with supplying arms to militants in Kashmir.
Kashmir News Trust (KNT) quoting well-placed sources reported that an alleged militant Hidayatullah Malik associated with Lashkar-e-Mustafa who had been arrested from Jammu had revealed couple of names during interrogation. He had even confessed that he had gone to Bihar to get arms.
Sources said that after the disclosure, police constituted a team that went to Bihar and with the help of local agencies managed to arrest a man who has been identified as Javaid Ahmed, a resident of Chapra Bihar.
Sources added that the arrested man is being shifted to Jammu where he will be thoroughly questioned.
Pertinently, the spouse of Hidayatullah Malik is also in police custody.
Sources said that the police is trying to find out how many militants have gone to Bihar and some other Indian states to procure arms. (KNT)
