Srinagar: While reacting to the arrest of mother-daughter duo from Srinagar outskirts, former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti said that arresting of woman in Kashmir marks a new low for the administration.

Pertinently, mother-daughter duo was yesterday arrested by police for allegedly raising “anti-national slogans” after the Rangreth shootout that result in the killing of two militants.

Mehbooba Mufti retweeted a news report about the incident saying: “Arresting women in Kashmir marks a new low for the administration that persecutes civilians only to please their masters in Delhi. The situation is getting worse & instead of reaching out to the people, GOI is pushing them to the wall.” (KNT)
