An army man was killed in an accidental grenade blast in Kashmir’s Kupwara district, official sources said.
They said a grenade exploded accidentally when the victim signal-man identified as Bharat Yaduwanshi was on sentry duty at Gonipora Gugtiyal Camp in Kupwara.
Sources told a local news agency Kashmir News Trust (KNT) that the injured army man was rushed to 428 Field Hospital Zangli, Kupwara, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The dead body was handed over to the concerned unit, after the completion of medico, and legal formalities while police initiated proceedings under section 174 CrPc. (KNT)
