Gunman of Amritpal Singh used fake documents to renew his gun license, SSP Kishtwar said on Thursday.
A senior police officer said that a gun license was issued in the name of Virendra Singh in 2014.
SSP said that Singh’s license was cancelled after Punjab police wrote to Kishtwar administration.
He said that Singh had used fake documents and issued gun license from DM office Kishtwar in the year -2014 as army personnel.
The said Licence has been cancelled by DM Kishtwar and in this regard case FIR N0 52/2023 U/S 465/471/474 IPC and 3/25/30 IA ACT has been registered at P/S Kishtwar against Varinder Singh and
further investigation has been taken up, an officer said. (KS)
