Amid rising Covid cases in Kashmir a fashion show was organized by All J-K Youth Society at Tagore Hall in Srinagar.
Dozens of youth participated as models, designers, dancers, rap artists and stand up comedians in the show.
Despite a surge in cases of deadly virus and amidst a second wave the event was attended by hundreds of enthusiastic people all of who were VIPs and dignitaries from different walks, a local news gathering agency Kashmir Dot Confirms (KDC) reported.
The event comes on a day when Srinagar recorded 492 cases, and at a time when doctors have raised alarm over non availability of beds in the hospitals. Also, six people succumbed to the contagion that has killed millions worldwide in Jammu and Kashmir in a day.
According to News Agency Kashmir Dot Com- (KDC) in the event local artists, Fashion Designers, Models showcase their talent. Ramp walk, Bollywood Dance, Rap Battle, Standup comedy were also shown on the floor.
President All JK Youth Society Sajid Yousuf told KDC that this is the first ever fashion show where the models, designers were locals and the judges were celebrities from the Mumbai film industry.
Vice President of this organization, Yana Mir said local talented youth are breaking all barriers of fear and social stigma and coming forward to showcase their talent to the world outside Kashmir, and the whole country is waiting with open arms to welcome Kashmiri artistes, models and designers in the world of glamour.
