The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Baramulla on Wednesday beat up people in Main Town Baramulla for defying the Corona curfew.
A video of the ADC Baramulla Mohammad Ehsan has been doing rounds on social media platforms wherein he can be seen beating people, including an elderly woman, in the Main Town area of the district.
Talking to The Kashmir Walla, ADC Baramulla, said: “It was not a wooden stick but a maize plant, extremely soft. No one would be hurt.”
He said that it was “just a deterrent to make people understand”. “Otherwise, it wasn’t a punishment, We didn’t hurt anyone,” said the ADC.
He added that there was chaos in Baramulla yesterday, “so we had to be strict today”.
