Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Monday arrested an AEE of the Rural Development Department (RDD) in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district for taking a bribe.
Sources told a local news agency, Kashmir Dot Com (KDC), that ACB received a complaint against one officer of Rural Development Department Baramulla identified as Ravinder Singh for demanding a bribe and during the course of the investigation, a trap team was constituted. The team caught red-handed the officer for demanding and accepting 4000 rupees, they said.
The officer was arrested on the spot by the ACB team, the bribe money was also recovered from his possession in presence of independent witnesses, an official confirmed to KDC and said that further investigations into the matter are going on. (KDC)
