An eleven-year-old boy on Thursday evening drowned to death in Umerhair Buchpora area of Srinagar, official sources said.
Official sources told a local news agency, Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that the boy identified as Arsalan Ahmad Sheikh of Beerwah area of Budgam, who was at his grandfather’s residence at Umerhair Buchpora drowned in a Nallah this evening while talking bath.
They said that the boy was fished out by a team of Ahmad Nagar police station with the help of locals and was subsequently shifted to hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
The officials said that police have taken cognizance of the incident. (KNO)
