The Jammu and Kashmir School Education Department on Tuesday refuted the news regarding the department proposing the government “to shift minority teachers to safer places”.

“School Education Department refutes the news item ‘DSEK proposes Govt. to shift minority teachers to safer places’ which is in circulation in many social media groups,” DSEK said in a press release.

It added that the department “has not issued any order regarding mass leave, deployment or mass transfer of academic or non academic staff for minority employees”.

The DSEK, in it’s press release, added that “the schools are running as per normal schedule in Jammu and Kashmir as per the guidelines issued by the government with strict adherence to COVID-19 protocol”.
