A leader of the Jammu Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) was shot dead in Kulgam district of south Kashmir on Thursday.
News agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) quoted an official saying that the JKAP leader Ghulam Hussan Lone was shot at outside his residence in Devsar area.
He said Lone, who received critical injuries, was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment where he was declared dead on arrival.
Meanwhile, the official said the area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.
