After receiving information about the movement of militants, joint forces cordoned off a Budgam village and launched a search operation.
Sources told KNT that the Bhat Pethzanigam Beerwa area in Center Kashmir’s district Budgam was brought under siege by the troopers from 53 Rashtriya Rifles and Jammu and Kashmir Police.
Door-to-door searches were conducted and identity cards of villagers were checked, locals said. The search operation was underway till the filing of this report. (KNT)
