At least 9 people died while another one was critically injured after a vehicle skidded off the road near Chini Nallah on Zojila Pass along Srinagar-Leh highway late last night, officials said here.
An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that the vehicle on way from Kargil to Srinagar skidded off the road near Chini Nallah.
He said that in the incident 9 passengers, who were onboard the vehicle died on the spot and another one was critically injured.
The official said that soon after the incident traffic police, Beacon and local police launched a rescue operations and recovered 9 bodied from the spot.
He added that one was critically injured and he has been shifted to Sonamarg hospital for treatment. (KNS)
